Some technical notes for copper casting production

Raw material selection: Select high-quality and high-purity copper materials as raw materials to ensure stable and reliable performance of customized castings. At the same time, select appropriate alloy elements and addition ratios based on the usage environment and requirements of the castings. For example, Baoding Guokun will use aluminum bronze material to produce the pump casting parts and valve casting components, body and disc.
Mold design and production: Based on the customer drawings and technical requirements of the required OEM castings, Baoding Guokun will choose the professional mold factory to accurately design and produce casting molds. The mold should have high precision and strength to ensure the shape and dimensional accuracy of casting parts. The main material for Baoding Guokun mould is aluminum alloys. But if small quantity casting parts order, we will choose to use wooden mould if possible.

Post treatment of casting: Cutting, trimming, sand blasting and other surface treatments are carried out on the raw casting parts to eliminate surface defects and improve aesthetics. And Baoding Guokun will do the heat treatment to improve the casting’s mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, such as normalizing, tempering, annealing, quenching and other special heat treatments.
